Nick came home from the hospital today. The surgery was successful -- they were able to remove all rods and hardware from his back. From what he could tell, the doctor said that the vertebrae had fused, which is what they did 15 years ago during the original surgery. He'll know for sure when Nick goes in for the follow-up visit in 2 weeks and can really move around.
So, we're just taking good care of him while the incisions heal. He hopes to be back at work sometime this week.
