The Embarrass Ashley Edition

Let's start the new year off right with some cute pictures of Vinny:

As you can see, he is becoming very social -- it's very fun. He especially lights up when you sing to him!

And, now to the updates . . . Vinny now weighs 14 pounds. Only 11 pounds more and he'll catch up with Ashley. ;) We have settled into our new house and only have a few boxes left (the stuff you don't know what to do with!).

Ashley started potty training last week, and she's doing great! The first day it took her 6 hours before she went -- she held it the whole time! I kept asking her if she needed to go & we set the timer to try it every 20 min or so. She never did. Then, while she was supposed to be taking a nap, I heard the door open and she went into the bathroom & went all by herself. I should've known it would be in her own time & by herself!

We are using M&M's and a sticker chart as rewards. When her sticker chart is full (probably by tomorrow), she gets a "special prize" -- glow in the dark stars for her room! Woo-hoo! Oh, to be 2!

We taught her a while back that sometimes people need privacy (like when the door is shut). So, now when she has to go to the bathroom and you go in with her, she says, "You go out. I need privacy." After you leave, she then continues to shout: "I need privacy!!" Okay, Ashley, no problem. :)

It snowed here last week. It was the first snow Ashley had ever seen! Here we are outside when it was beginning to flurry.

Vinny working on his tummy time & talking to Percy the train:
Perhaps we have another train lover in the family.
We traveled to see Aunt Regina in Asheville over the weekend for her birthday. She took us to the very fun Health Adventure interactive health/science museum. We all learned a lot, especially about how to floss (very large) teeth!
Ashley especially loved rolling the golf balls down the track.
