Daddy also got to attend Donuts for Dad, complete with a singing program of songs like Where is Thumbkin (Nick said she got all excited when the teachers told them to put their hands behind their backs to start the song) & 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. Daddy now has a specially made paperweight to put on his desk, too. :)
Vinny is doing a great job of finding his thumb now, both when awake & often as he's going to sleep:

It's very funny when Ashley changes the pitch of her voice as she's singing or animating her toys. She loves to play with the Bear Family & Goldilocks, especially making Papa Bear have a very deep voice.
We're also coming to realize that Ashley has many of her books memorized, especially the ones we read at EVERY bedtime & naptime. There's one book she has in a series called "Bunny Reads". Their tagline is: Read to your bunny & your bunny will read back to you. That is so true! She especially enjoys "reading" us the Backyardigans Jungle Colors, Dora Goes for a Ride, 5 Little Ladybugs, and her absolute favorite 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, complete with the "Docker" shouting in a very low, slow voice "No more monkeys jumping on bed!"
One other story: We listen to a CD often in the car, from our friends Grace & Emma, that has Vinny's name in it. It's children's Christian songs, like "Jesus Loves the Little Children", etc. So that Ashley doesn't feel left out, sometimes I change the lyrics to include her, too, "You are special, Jesus loves you Ashley!"
"No," she corrects me. "Jesus no love me. Jesus loves my baby (what she calls Vinny) and the children."
