A Week in the Life of . . .

The stats are in! Vinny went for his 4 month checkup last week and he weighs 14 lbs 10 oz (he's in the 32nd percentile for weight) and is 24 inches long (8th percentile). Apparently, the short gene is kicking in! That's not really a surprise. :) But, he is growing, as evidenced by his first experience in the exer-saucer. He loves it!

Ashley is beginning to warm up to the whole ponytail idea. Her hair is quite long now. Daddy still won't let us trim it, however.

One day we were having dinner and Ashley wanted more butter on her bread (after eating it off the top part of the bread). After the no response, she broke down (no actual sleeping during naptime on that day), and finally put her head down on the kitchen chair. Poor little Rose! Guess she needed a few ZZZZ's. :)

Here's Vinny catching a few ZZZ's himself:

This is how we dress to play outside in Georgia during the winter, when it gets below 50 degrees. ;)

Naked baby photo op!

Vinny loves it when you throw him around now. He smiles as you throw him up in the air, etc. It's pretty cute. He also said "Ma" the other day. I know he doesn't know what that means, but still . . . also, yesterday, he was sitting on Grandpa's lap and my dad said, "Where's your Sissy?" He got a HUGE smile on his face & looked right at Ashley, sitting next to them. We recreated this several times -- it was so sweet! He does look up to his sister. :) She has definitely taken on the motherly role.

There is an AWESOME park at the Baptist Church next door that is open to the community. We frequent it often. :) Ashley calls it the Castle Park.(by the way, that's Vinny down below in the stroller)

While we were there yesterday, someone else named Ashley was there, and we could hear somebody repeated calling her name. Our Ashley shouted, "I am coming up!" as she climbed up the ladder. "That lady is calling me," she told Nick, and then shouted again, "I am coming up!"

One final story for the day . . . yesterday right before Mass, Ashley informed me, " I do go potty." So, we took off running to the bathroom. Success! As we were coming out of the restroom, a young girl held the door for us. Ashley looked up at her and asked, "Do you have to go teetee, too?"

PS~ Even the Little People like to sit and watch Cinderella. :)
