Safety Friends Week

Last week was "Safety Friends" week in our curriculum, a particularly fun-to-photograph week, especially since we went to see Mr. Jordan's Fire Station!

Mr. Jordan tried on his gear for us:As soon as he opened the valve to his oxygen tank, with the hissing and whistling, Vinny started scooting backwards. "I'm gettin' outta here!"

Here's Ashley dressed up as a Police Office on another day that week. She pretended to be a crossing guard and even gave out speeding tickets and citizen's awards.

We've been enjoying the year so far. The themes are so kid-friendly and it's neat to watch Ashley get into it. We've read lots of new books, listened to great poetry and Bible verses, made fun art projects and played lots of games. Our other field trips are for another day's post!
