We took Emily in for her 2 month check-up this past week. She weighed 10 lb 15 oz and was 22.25 inches long. She's in the 50th percentile for both. This is surprising, since the other 2 have pretty much been in the 2-10th percentiles! Maybe we have a "tall" one in our family. ;)
She's still adjusting to life outside the womb pretty well and has even slept 8-9 hours at night, without waking to nurse, a few times. (Props to "Secrets of the Baby Whisperer", as recommended by my cousin Kelly a few years ago.) Ashley & Vinny never did that this early, so we're excited! She's been sleeping in the bassinet in our room, but this week, she's been sleeping some in the crib in her own room. (Ashley & Vinny have been sharing a room since October, when we moved Vinny out of the crib.)
She's been smiling for a few weeks now and is more and more alert during her awake periods. Her head & neck seem very strong, and she's starting to grasp things that come in contact with her hands. Keep on growin', Emily!
