These are a few of her favorite things . . .

It occurred to me that I better start writing down some "Emily things" before she grows more and I forget what she's like as a little toddler!


At 16 months now, she loves baby dolls (especially hugging them), belly buttons (finding her own and yours), shaking her head "no", and reading books. She can identify her tongue (by sticking it out), mouth, nose, feet, belly, belly button, eyes, ears, head and hair. She will randomly take a little rest time by laying down on the floor and suck her thumb for a few minutes. She loves shoes and will blow on a tissue (with her mouth) to pretend to blow her nose. She points and grunts to go outside and loves to swing. She also likes balls.

Her favorite foods are: peas, black or kidney beans, noodles, blueberries, bananas, cheese, rolls, peanut butter sandwiches, to name a few. The kid can eat like there's no tomorrow! She also like to brush her teeth and hair.


It's so sweet when she puts her arms around your neck and squeezes you tight with a hug. Once, with Nonna & Pop, they asked her to kiss a baby doll, which she did. Then, they asked her to kiss Pop, and she shook her head "No!" Then, she leaned in and gave him a kiss. She loves to snuggle and she's starting to reach for my hair when she's sucking her thumb, just like Vinny does.

She is also getting a case of the "Terrible One's". She throws herself back when it's time to get dressed or change her diaper on the changing table. And, she'll throw herself around and cry if you tell her no about something. But, her pouty face is about the cutest I've ever seen. She even sticks her lower lip out.


She seems to have a sense of humor and is easily entertained by the antics of Ashley & Vinny. And, she will often instigate "bothering" them by patting them and likes to rough house with them. She loves to skype with Auntie and insists on being front and center on the screen, squealing all the while.

They are so cute when they're one!
