Good Friends & Good Laughs

Some snapshot looks into the Happy Days of the Shaw's (ha ha, don't be too fooled. It's mostly happy because we have other people around!):

It's one of my favorite things to see Ashley & Vinny play together. She is the one person who can crack him up the most. Here, Ashley was pressing down on the toy & they would giggle every time it would pop back up. (We call this toy "Vinny's favorite toy," because it's Vinny's favorite toy.)
And, here's Grandpa bouncing them on his legs -- More, Grandpa!!

Here we are at our friend Jacob's 3rd Birthday Party -- Jacob loves to play with Vinny.

We've been frequenting various pools in the area as well. Ashley is warming up to the water again -- in fact, as long as she's got her floaties and the tube, she loves to "swim" by herself. Here are the big kids John Paul, Jacob & Ashley. (PS -- When my friend Meghan updates her blog, see the Noah link on the right, with pics from another recent pool trip, I will swipe some of those and put them up, too! :) )

We moved into our current house because our friends-turned-neighbors let us know that is was for sale. And, I highly recommend having friends-turned-neighbors because of the planned & spontaneous get-togethers and neighborly assistance that can happen. To be more specific, Beth & I take turns each week watching each others' kids for a couple of hours while the other goes out to do something (or goes back home to a very quiet house). So, here are John Paul & Alayna at our house on a recent Toddler Swap. The arteests are at work.
