Happy Halloween!

Can you believe they are sitting nicely for a picture at the same time?
Me neither!

A special note about Ashley's costume: She was supposed to be Dora this year (remember the Halloween preview post?). And, she's been getting good use out of the costume, besides just the day of Halloween -- like wearing it the grocery store, etc. So, yesterday when we were getting dressed for school -- the Halloween party day at school -- we could not find the Dora costume anywhere. ANYWHERE. I thought I had lost my mind. However, unbeknownst to Nonna 20 years ago, she was about to save the day! Nonna had sent over some Halloween costumes she made for Regina, Nick, and Brian (20 years ago!!!) recently, and so we whipped out that bag & started trying things on. Poodle skirt - too big. Army outfit - not quite little girl enough. Bumble bee -- perfect!!! Thankfully, there was no meltdown; Ashley just put the costume right on. Buzzzzz she sang, as she ran around the room! Thanks, Nonna!

We went trick or treating with our neighbor friends John Paul the Firefighter & Alayna the Butterfly. It was very cute.
Then, afterwards, we hung out in their driveway passing out candy. It was a gorgeous night! Happy Halloween!
PS~Grandma solved the Mystery of the Missing Dora Costume for us . . . it was in an upstairs bedroom at their house. No one remembers it even being there! Oh well!

Wait til Lily sees the pictures and realizes that Ashley was a bumblebee too - I'll never get her costume off! :) So cute...
